Khana Khazana
Food Treasure
As far as treasures go, for me, food is probably the only treasure worth embarking on.
Growing up, I used to watch the show, Khana Khazana, hosted by India’s culinary maestro, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, fascinated by the mesmerizing spectacle of magic that used to be occur in the Chef’s kitchen.
Food has always been the centerpiece of my family’s joy, and we take immense pride in it. My mother is amazing cook, who infuses her creations with generosity and a deep respect for the art of cooking. So of course the love for food was passed on to me, though I’m not sure if the talent of knowing how to cook was passed down or not…
Inspired by my upbringing, I love going out to try new restaurants and food. At one point, I am pretty sure I followed more food accounts on Instagram than friends. So, I decided to take my hobby to another level and created a food blog on Instagram, where I post my reviews on restaurants and food. College kept me busy, especially closer to graduation, and thus I slacked on posting. But, now that I’ve got more free time, I’m ready to get back into exploring and sharing! Feel free to shoot me a message if you want recommendations or would like to explore a restaurant or cuisine together!
My top five favorite Restaurants in Columbus, Ohio:
- Harvest Pizzeria (you HAVE to get their Spicy Yuma Pizza)
- Bamboo Thai (family-owned, and AMAZING taste)
- Sow Plated (fresh and chic)
- Hyderabad House (best vegetarian Biryani options)
- Brassica (if you haven’t been yet, what are you doing?)
